Der Chevrolet Celebrity war ein von der US-amerikanischen Automarke Chevrolet von Ende 1981 bis Mitte 1990 gebautes Modell der Mittelklasse.

Der Celebrity basierte auf der A-Plattform von General Motors und war eng verwandt mit dem Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, dem Pontiac 6000 und dem Buick Century.

Die Modelle der A-Plattform mit Frontantrieb lösten die für das Modelljahr 1978 eingeführten, erstmals verkleinerten Mittelklassemodelle auf der A-Plattform mit Hinterradantrieb ab (Chevrolet Malibu, Buick Century, Pontiac Le Mans und Oldsmobile Cutlass). Deren Coupé-Varianten wurden allerdings noch einige Jahre weitergeführt, ebenso die Kombi-Versionen (bis zum Erscheinen der frontgetriebenen Nachfolger).

Gegenüber der älteren A-Plattform waren die Modelle der neuen Generation erneut kleiner, leichter und sparsamer.

Angeboten wurde der Celebrity anfangs als zweitüriges Coupé und als viertürige Limousine in einer einzigen Ausstattungsstufe mit 2,5-Liter-Reihenvierzylinder und 2,8-Liter-V6. Zum Modelljahr 1983 kam zusätzlich ein 4,3-Liter-Diesel-V6 ins Programm.

The Chevrolet Celebrity is a mid-size automobile that was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors from the 1982 to 1990 model years. Replacing the Malibu, the Celebrity was initially positioned between the Citation and the Impala within the Chevrolet model line; as the 1980s progressed, the model line was marketed between the Corsica and Caprice sedans. The nameplate first saw use in the early 1960s by Oldsmobile, marketing it as a pillared sedan version of the Oldsmobile 88.

The Celebrity was among a quartet of vehicles produced on the GM A platform, which transitioned to front-wheel drive for 1982. Sharing its roofline with the Buick Century, the Celebrity also shared design commonality with the Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera/Cutlass Cruiser, and the Pontiac 6000.

For its 1982 launch, the Celebrity was offered with three engines, carrying over a 2.5L inline-four and a 2.8L V6 from the Citation. A 4.3L diesel V6 (effectively, 3⁄4 of the Oldsmobile diesel V8) served as an additional option; a three-speed automatic was paired with all three engines. For 1984, Chevrolet introduced the 130 hp "H.O." version of the 2.8L engine (from the Citation X-11); a 4-speed manual was introduced alongside a 4-speed automatic (for 2.8L engines).
